About Us

Williams County's only daily newspaper, The Bryan Times was founded in 1949 and has been owned by the Cullis family since its inception. Based in Bryan, Ohio, its coverage area includes Williams County and rural northwest Ohio, with a circulation of nearly 10,000. The Bryan Times is a publication of The Bryan Publishing Company, which also publishes the Napoleon Northwest Signal, The Countyline and Realty Northwest.


Christopher Cullis is the publisher of The Bryan Times. A native of Bryan, he was graduated from Bryan High School in 1975 and Bowling Green State University in 1979. He has worked at The Bryan Times since 1981. The Cullis family has owned The Bryan Times since its inception in 1949. 




Sally Heaston is the president/general manager for the Bryan Publishing Company. She started her newspaper career at the Northwest Signal in 1985 in the Circulation Department, was promoted to advertising and marketing manager in 1995 and then general manager in October of 2012. She is a member of the Ohio League of Home Dailies and Bryan Rotary. She can be reached at




Lynn Thompson is a staff reporter for The Bryan Times. He is a graduate of Hilltop High School in West Unity and has a bachelor's degree in English literature from Huntington University. Lynn is also a major in the National Guard with two deployments in Iraq. He lives in Bryan with wife Lori and sons Samuel and Benjamin. He can be reached at



Max Reinhart is an assistant editor of The Bryan Times. He is a Paulding High School graduate and holds a bachelor's degree in journalism with a writing minor from the University of Findlay, where he also served as editor of the university's student newspaper, The Pulse. Prior to joining The Times' staff, he covered crime and local government with the News-Herald in Willoughby, Ohio. He can be reached at



Ron Osburn is the editor of The Bryan Times. He grew up in Beavercreek, Ohio, and is a graduate of Wright State University. Most recently, he was a staff writer/editor/photographer for the Troy (Ohio) Daily News. He can be reached at




Lucas Bechtol is a staff reporter and farm reporter with The Bryan Times. Born and raised in Bryan, he earned his bachelor degree in journalism at Ohio University. Prior to returning to Bryan, he covered cops, crime and court in Huntington, Indiana. He lives in Bryan with his wife, Toni. He can be reached at



Debby Dalton is the production manager and IT manager at The Bryan Times. She is a Bryan graduate and has spent most of her life here. She started her career with The Bryan Times in 1991. She presently lives outside of Bryan with her husband Greg. She can be reached at
